Elephant Safari

Only 30 miles from the hustle and bustle of Mombasa and the heat of the tropical coast, is the Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary in the hilly country of Kwale district.  You will stay at the comfortable safari camp which consists of 20 twin-bedded tents each with private bathroom , WC, hot water shower and verandah.  It is the only camp in this new sanctuary so guests have the entire 6,000 acres to themselves.  Large numbers of elephants may be seen within the sanctuary  which is not fenced so that the wild animals live free, natural lives.
Other species include zebra, bushbuck, warthog, Colobus monkey as well as the nocturnal leopard.  Game drives are taken in the sanctuary to see the animals at close quarters and elephants may often be seen from the camp itself.
 
DAY 1.   Morning drive to Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary.  Lunch at the Camp and evening game drive followed by dinner and overnight.
DAY 2.   Early morning game drive and after breakfast return to your beach hotel.
